The Best Design is a Balancing Act

10.19.2011

Recently, Neff of Chicago was featured as a LuxeSource Portfolio Spotlight on Facebook.

In the piece, we noted the importance of our heritage and the pride we take in what we call the Neff Difference. The philosophy behind it comes out of our promise of distinctive style, substance and innovation.

It’s important to stay in front of the trends and continue to innovate without compromising quality and old world craftsmanship.  And, of course, your design solution must always focus on meeting and exceeding the customer’s expectations.

For Neff of Chicago, it begins with design choices. We offer an extraordinary array of cabinet, drawer and door styles, finishes and colors. Our designers listen to each client’s idea of the ideal kitchen and work closely with them to translate their concept of a dream kitchen into an affordable and functional reality.

But just as central to the Neff Difference are the things you may not see at first glance. All our components and finishes have been carefully selected by skilled artisans over the years to deliver quality in two key areas: durability and livability through the promotion of a healthy indoor environment.

Standard features of Neff of Chicago cabinetry include longer, stronger drawers and roll out shelves, self-close and soft-close drawers, more hinges and shelves, an integrated lighting system and finished tops on all base cabinets.

In the construction of the “primary box,” standard materials are engineered for long life in the most humid coastal or tropical environments to prevent warping, expansion and peeling. This means exterior-grade, marine quality plywood, Medium Density Fiberboard, E1 grade particle board, and other superior, engineered wood products.

The products we use also are made with phenol-based resin which is free of the VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) off-gassing caused by the urea formaldehyde in cheaper and more commonly used resins and glues. All painting and lacquering is done at the Neff factory, eliminating paint smells or fumes in the home as cabinets are installed.

We have found that installers like working with Neff of Chicago cabinetry because it can be easily and safely installed thanks to a design that adjusts to imperfections in floors and walls, and enables easy door leveling and adjustment.

Whether your style of preference is traditional, transitional or very modern, you’ll find that  exquisite form meets intelligent function in every Neff of Chicago kitchen.
