It was Italian painter, scientist, sculptor, musician and writer Leonardo DaVinci who pointed out, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”  And 19^th century poet Robert Browning seconded that sentiment when he wrote the line, “Well, less is more.”  That sentiment is probably more familiar to most of us as a principle espoused by Mies Van Der Rohe, architect and furniture maker.
